Professor Ben Miranda is a Fellow of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses (FFEW) with a busy specialist medicolegal expert witness hand surgery practice in London Harley Street & Essex (Chelmsford & Southend). Professor Ben Miranda has received senior fellowship training in leading Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery Hand Surgery Centres of excellence such as the Pulvertaft Hand Centre and Chelsea & Westminster Hand Unit; he therefore treats patients in London Harley Street and Essex (Chelmsford & Southend) for bony conditions of the hands as well as soft tissue conditions. Professor Ben Miranda therefore manages all aspects of trauma and elective hand surgery in both adults and children within his medicolegal expert witness hand surgery practice, including fractures, bone and joint problems, tendon conditions, nerve conditions, complex reconstructions and microsurgery.

Professor Ben Miranda first became interested in developing a hand surgery medicolegal expert witness practice in London & Essex after representing a large body of doctors in Court, against a central London NHS Foundation Trust, in 2005. He has formal medicolegal expert witness hand surgery training (Bond Solon), experience as a medicolegal expert witness hand surgeon working for both claimants and defendant NHS Trusts, compiling detailed court-compliant hand surgery medical expert witness reports for breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis, working for private insurance companies and solicitors.
