Professor Ben Miranda runs a busy plastic surgery medicolegal expert witness practice, supporting clients across London Harley Street and Essex. As a Fellow of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses (FFEW), he combines specialist training in plastic surgery with extensive medicolegal expertise.

Plastic surgery covers the treatment of soft tissues following trauma, cancer, or cosmetic procedures. With advanced expertise in reconstructive and hand surgery, Professor Miranda is recognised as a leading plastic surgery expert in both clinical and legal contexts.

Professor Miranda first developed an interest in medicolegal plastic surgery expert witness work after representing doctors in Court in 2005. Since then, he has received formal medicolegal training (Bond Solon) and gained extensive experience preparing court-compliant reports on breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis.

He works as a plastic surgery expert witness for both claimants and defendant NHS Trusts, and also for private insurers and solicitors. His medicolegal practice is built on objectivity, thoroughness, and a strong foundation in clinical plastic surgery. Professor Miranda is also fully registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
