Ben Miranda, Medicolegal Expert, Hand Surgery, Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery

Professor Ben Miranda provides independent medicolegal expert witness services in plastic surgery and hand surgery.

He is a Consultant Plastic & Hand Surgeon and a Fellow of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses (FFEW).

Professor Miranda developed an interest in medicolegal work after representing a large body of doctors in Court from a central London NHS Foundation Trust in 2005.

He has since undertaken formal medicolegal training with Bond Solon and continues to act for both claimants and defendant NHS Trusts, as well as for private insurers and solicitors.

His reports are prepared in a clear and structured manner, addressing questions such as breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis.

Professor Miranda’s medicolegal practice is based in London and Essex, with remote consultations available. He may also travel within the UK for suitable cases with prior notice.
